The Oficina de Extranjería (Immigration Office) is resposible for issuing many certificates, visas and documents to allow foreigners to reside, visit and purchase  in Spain.

Letter of Invitation

Citizens of some countries, such as the Philipines and South Africa, do not have right to free entry into Spain and so a Letter of Invitation is required by the relative who is wanting them to come and stay for a holiday in Spain.

The applicant, who is the resident in Spain, must attend the Oficina de Extranjería (Immigration Office) or National Police station if this is the only option, by appointment, to request the invitation letter. Very often, this is approved or rejected at the time of the appointment.

If approved, this letter is then sent to the visitor, who can use it to apply for a short stay visa in a Spanish Embassy/Consulate in their own country.

The application process requires documentation from both resident and visitor, including passports, residents ID and proof of address, visitors address, relationship and reason for visit.

Should you require assistance in making this type of application, we are here to help.

Deregistration

There becomes a time when some people, who have been resident for a while, find it necessary to return to their home country.

In this case it is necessary to deregister from the Spanish system and surrender their residencia.

With authorisation, we are able to do this on behalf of applicants and can start the process at any time in advance of the departure. There will likely be vehicles to deregister and also the Tax Office too inform.

We are able to help with all of these processes, so do not hesitate to get in touch.

Please make a selection from the menu above for information about the different visas availble to non-EU citizens.

Moving to Spain can be an exciting prospect for many and for those who are citizens of an EU country the process is fairly straight-forward.

For non-EU countries, including the UK, the process is not so easy, but it is acheivable.
